Summary

WorkSafeBC is considering changes to workplace health and safety requirements to help prevent workplace harassment and violence.

The proposed changes are to workplace harassment and violence requirements, including moving some current policy requirements into regulation. These changes were developed with input from workers, employers, and other interested parties. They are intended to make requirements easier to understand and apply, while supporting employers and workers in preventing and addressing harassment and violence in the workplace.

Feedback from workers, employers, and other interested parties across the province will help inform the development of the proposed regulations, including the practicality of the regulation for B.C. workplaces.

Provide your feedback (online, by email, or by mail) on the proposed amendments by going to the consultation page. The deadline for feedback has been extended to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026.
